This quarter, Jubilee Chorus features an all-female ensemble. Each singer comes with professional music background in vocal or instrumental specialty. Chorus members also built camaraderie with one another as well as with the chorus director, Mr. Bill Heigen, through weekly rehearsals and fellowships. They look forward to the final concert of the season with an eager heart to serve the public audience. The concert program includes songs with beautiful melodies and touching message about the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Jubilee General Manager, Ms. Mihee Gwon, shared God's grace with chorus members at the end of the rehearsal. "This week the circumstances were stormy," she began, "Many things happened. But when I heard you all singing these songs, I felt tears in my eyes." She thanked every chorus member for their devotion and professionalism to Jubilee Chorus throughout the season. It was a pleasure working with every member who shares a love for vocal music.
Chorus Director, Mr. Bill Heigen, also exhorted thoughtfully to the choir as a group. "Singing is not about how well you sing; it is about how the audience feels," Bill shared. You are a channel of music, a channel that delivers music to cater to the needs of people. Someone in the audience will need the music that night, and you are the one to bring it to them in your best effort." The spirit of giving flowed through the room as each chorus member received encouragements from the management team.
The final concert of Jubilee Chorus Season 2015-2016 will take place on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 7:30 PM. The location is St. Michael's Episcopal Church in New York City (225 West 99th Street New York, NY 10025). Free admission to all.
Please pray for the Jubilee Chorus as it approaches the final concert and the end of the season. Pray for the members involved in this ministry, that their mind, body, and spirit may be blessed and protected by our Lord Jesus Christ. May our God receive all the glory and praise through Jubilee Chorus.
